‘Fast acting for speedy results......She does what she says in her remit!’
Claire achieved remarkable outcomes with and for staff during her work at Oakdale Learning Centre during the Summer Term 2011...a mere three days but adding value in so many areas!
Claire worked successfully with recently qualified and very experienced teachers, in both groups and individually, to address issues relating to delivery in the classroom, adding that ‘wow’ factor to capture the audience, exploring the ‘curtain up’ at the start of a lesson and most importantly restoring confidence and a thirst for innovation where perhaps it had waned. Claire worked collaboratively with staff in classrooms, she coached and mentored staff in a manner characterised by openness, honesty and trust.
Claire brilliantly modelled and reinforced the ingredients for ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ lessons; most importantly addressing the key issue of ‘demonstrating pupil progress’, demystifying it and showing that it’s not onerous but a relatively simple and easy thing to achieve during the course of a lesson. A key outcome arising from Claire’s time with us has been a clear shift away from conversations around ‘behaviour’ issues to dialogue between staff and students about progress.
Claire is an enthusiastic and engaging person whose own classroom experience gives her credibility and understanding of the challenges facing staff today!
